There are some words we need to add to our lexicon this year. Below is a video explaining historical context, dynamic characters, and static characters. Take notes on these definitions. We will use them throughout the year, and they may show up on a quiz at some point in the not too distant future...

 

Before we get into our gramamr unit, we ask you to take a pre-test, so we can figure out how much you know. (It's not an actual test; it's just fancy teacher-talk.) Follow the directions and complete the form by Tuesday, October 8.

In preparation for our first unit, we do some review of close reading skills through poetry. Below are the notes and handouts that have been given in class.
